Wall Section
- Decide exactly where you want the mural to go within the wall.
- Measure the width and height of the selected area.
- Step back and visually check the placement.
- Lightly mark the selected area if that helps you remember the position.
Sloped Wall
- Measure the widest and tallest rectangular area, ignoring the slope itself.
- The sloped section can be trimmed during installation.
- Choose an image that works well with unusual or angled spaces.
Wall with Obstacles (Doors/Windows)
- Measure the overall width and height, ignoring windows, doors or other obstacles.
- These areas can be cut out during installation.
- Consider adding a few extra centimetres for trimming around frames or uneven edges.
Wall with Corners
- Measure each wall section separately.
- Add the widths of both sections together to get the total width.
- A continuous mural can then run across both wall sections.
Ceiling
- Measure the longest and widest dimensions of the ceiling area.
- Ignore light fixtures or fittings while measuring because these can be cut around during installation.
Extra for Safety
- We recommend adding a small additional margin to both the height and width of your measurements.
- This gives you enough material for trimming and minor wall irregularities.
